What ages does the Pediatrics department see?
+

The department sees children from birth to adolescence, including newborn follow-up, routine check-ups, growth monitoring and common illnesses.

When does my child's fever need a doctor's visit?
+

A fever in a baby under three months old is a reason to see a doctor without delay. The same applies if the fever persists, or comes with lethargy, refusal to feed, difficulty breathing or a rash; a medical assessment is what determines the cause and the right course of action.

Do you offer vaccinations for children?
+

We do not offer vaccinations. Basic childhood vaccinations are given free of charge at Ministry of Health primary care centers, with booking through the Sehhaty app. What we offer in the department is growth monitoring, comprehensive check-ups and treatment of illnesses, and we have a simple guide to the vaccination schedule for reference.

Does my child need an antibiotic for every cough or fever?
+

Usually not. Many colds and coughs in children are caused by viruses that do not respond to antibiotics. The doctor decides whether they are needed after assessment, and giving a child any medicine without a prescription is not advised.

How can we make a child's clinic visit easier?
+

Choose a time when your child is comfortable, not hungry or sleepy, and talk about the visit in reassuring language without scary words. In the department, we make a point of a gentle, child-friendly approach that helps children build a positive experience with the clinic.
